Typically, it takes 10 research hours to solve a case or to get a good foundation going for a more difficult case. When a client purchases 5 or more hours, they will receive a research report when the hours are completed, with findings, which may include a conclusion to the case, or next steps if the case needs more research.

Q: Do I need to take a DNA test BEFORE purchasing research hours?

A: Yes. Taking a test is vital to the process. When the results come in, we can hit the ground running. We'll talk about which company or companies will be best for you to test with depending on your case. If you've already taken a test or multiple tests, we should be good to go.

Q: What else will I need to provide Know My Roots?

A: Any and all documentation, family stories--any information you have that can expedite your cans and help the researcher find a conclusion as quickly as possible--adoption records, letters, emails, birth certificates, etc.
